Zimbabwe: A Budiriro woman has been fined $50 for stoning her ex-husband
after he demanded s*x. Annadetta Mandikumba (38) stoned her former
husband George Nambiro (37) during a misunderstanding over s*x demands.
Mbare magistrate Precious Muzondo convicted her after she pleaded guilty
to a physical abuse charge. She however, fined her $50 with an option
of five days imprisonment to be paid on or before 14 November.
It was proved that on 26 October at around 6pm, Annadetta went to
George's place of residence intending to collect her belongings. Upon
arrival Annadetta packed all her clothes before George questioned her
conduct.
State counsel Clyde Chivasa proved that George requested a 'goodbye' s*x
session from her but his request was denied. However, the rejection
angered George who grabbed the woman in vain. The State had it that
George then labelled her a prostitute. At the height of the altercation,
the duo exchanged some harsh words and Annadetta picked some stones and
attacked George.
George sustained visible injuries before a police report was made leading to the arrest of the woman.
