Speaking at the United Democratic Forum (UDF) offices in Nairobi, Mudavadi who is also the Sabatia MP, said his party was careful on whom to enter into an alliance with, to avoid political wrangles.
However, Mudavadi said that a committee had been formed to work out a coalition agreement with Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Democratic Movement.
Mudavadi fell out with Prime Minister Raila Odinga early this year and he had maintained that that he cannot form an alliance with the party associated with the PM.
“We are open to alliances with other parties, but we cannot form an alliance with the Orange Party,” Mudavadi who is also UDF presidential flag bearer said.
At the event Vijana Na Raila lobby group defected from ODM and joined UDF.
The Secretary General of the group Mr Shem Otoi said they have changed to Youth for Mudavadi signifying their new allegiance.
