Kenya Prime Minister Raila Odinga has apologized to the Kalenjin community for any mistakes he may have committed against them after the 2007 General Election. In what could be seen as a flat out attempt to woo the vote-rich region and its presumed leader William Ruto back into the ODM fold, Odinga told a meeting of Kalenjin elders in Nakuru that he had initiated talks with Ruto in the hope that they would bridge any differences that they had.
And as Citizen TV's Francis Gachuri reports, Odinga said he had tabled an offer to Ruto and the ball was now in the URP leader's court.
