A father of five from Chesirikwa area in Kuresoi went berserk early this morning and hacked his five children to death before he committed suicide thereafter.
According to neighbors, the mother of the children who was also in the house when the incident occurred in early hours of the morning managed to escape when her husband tried to hack her to death too.
Apparently the couple has been having issues which according to neighbors is money related. The man got fired from his work place and the woman has been blaming him for poverty.
It is alleged that the couple had a fight and the man took a sharp panga and went into the children’s bedroom where he hacked the children aged between 1 and 12 to death.
The area police boss was among the first people to arrive at the crime scene and said the scene looks like a picture from hell and in his line of duty he has never seen such a bloody crime scene.
The man committed suicide by hanging himself.
