I’ve had enough of TORRES – Former Chelsea manager.

Former Chelsea manager Ruud Gullit has blasted Chelsea’s most expensive player, Fernando Torres after a below par display during the Blues 2-2 draw against Juventus and yesterday’s 1-0 win over Stoke City at Stamford Bridge.

Gullit who signed Roberto di Matteo, now the Chelsea boss, in 1996, reckons it will be a blessing if Toress picked an injury because at the moment they are playing with 10 men.

“I am getting impatient with him. He is not involved. He is not in the places he has to be. It’s not enough. For a player of this standard, I want more from him.

“He is not involved in the game at all. I am just trying to figure out what is wrong with this lad.”  Gullit fumed.

However, Roberto Di Matteo leapt into the Spaniard’s defence saying, “We’re happy with him.

“Even when he doesn’t score he provides and works hard for the team and he’s always an outlet for us.

“At the moment there is no issue for us. Changing the system is not in discussion at the moment. We have a forward and we’re happy with him.

“Hopefully Daniel Sturridge will be fit and back soon as well. At the moment our system is playing with one forward.”

Torres has failed to replicate his goal scoring form that made him a darling of the Kop faithful since he made his big money move from Anfield to Stamford Bridge.
