Early this year,
US President Donald J Trump’s transition team
issued a blanket mandate requiring politically
appointed Ambassadors installed by President
Barack Obama to leave their posts by
Inauguration Day.
The mandate was issued "without exceptions" through an order sent in a State
Department cable on December 23 requiring all political appointees of Obama’s
administration to quit before January 20th the day Donald Trump was sworn
in as United States President.
