Former President Daniel Moi was admitted at the Agha Khan Hospital on Friday where he underwent a knee surgery.

According to his spokesman Lee Njiru, Moi underwent the surgery to relieve pain that had been troubling him for some time now.

“After the procedure, performed under local anaesthesia, a hail and hearty Mzee Moi was discharged and is recuperating at his residence,” Njiru stated.

Mr Lee divulged that Moi was discharged on the same day and was currently recuperating at his home in Nairobi.
