K24's senior news anchor, Tom Mboya has been sued for child support by a woman he sired a child with.
The lady Elsie Achieng who is a student at the Kenya Methodist University was at the Milimani Law Courts claiming that Mboya had refused to pay for the child's upkeep.
She alleges that Mboya provided for her and the baby up until November of last year when he suddenly stopped and said he would only continue supporting her through a courts decision.
“He has informed close relatives that he will not maintain the child unless the matter is decided in court,” claims Elsie.
She now wants Mboya to pay Sh50,000 per month before the case is determined in court and also surrender a copy of his ID card so the child's birth certificate can be finalized.She claims her lawyer sent a demand letter to Mboya but that Mboya never replied to it.
