10 of the world’s most expensive homes…a billion dollar house?

It’s true you don’t get much for your money these days on the property market.
And, never more so in London’s posh Mayfair.
This week, Britain’s smallest £1million property went on the market.
The one- bedroom flat on Berkeley Street comes with a kitchen, bathroom and living room.
But there will be little space for furniture as it’s smaller than a London underground tube carriage.
If you’ve got a little more cash to spare, why not take a look at some of the world’s most expensive properties….
Antilla

Antillia – Mumbai, India

Price tag: £609m
The world’s first $1billion home features 27 floors and takes it’s name from the mythical island, Antillia. Built by India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, it even has several floating gardens, not one but three helipads and six floors dedicated to parking.
Villa Leopolda

Villa Leapolda – Cote D’Azure, France

Price tag: £457m
This palace on the French Riviera has more bathrooms than it does bedrooms and is rumoured to have once belonged to Microsoft mogul, Bill Gates.
The villa, which has 11 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, was left to her by her banker husband, Edmond, after he was murdered by his male nurse in 1999.
One Hyde Park

One Hyde Park Penthouse – Knightsbridge, Central London

Price tag: £137m
This two-floor apartment boasts features even James Bond would be envious of – bullet proof windows, an air purifer in the event of gas attacks, SAS-trained bodyguards and a panic room.
For the less paranoid, it also has an underground passage to The Mandarin Oriental Hotel but if you’re too lazy to get up off the sofa, there’s the option of 24-hour room service. And Harrods is your local shop.
The Fairfield Pond

Four Fairfield Pond – The Hamptons, New York

Price tag: £133m
