Kenyan in Minnesota Arrested for Terroristic Threats on a Police Officer

A Kenyan Diaspora community luminary was on Friday arrested in Minneapolis on allegations of issuing terroristic threats to a Minneapolis police department officer. Siyad Abdille Abdullahi was arrested by Minneapolis Police department officers at his residence on Friday night April 12, 2013 where he was hosting a party celebrating his 39th birthday.

Siyad Abdullahi will be facing the charges of allegedly issuing terroristic threats during his arrest to law enforcement officials. He's currently being held at the Hennepin county jail without bail. According to Hennepin County law-enforcement sources, Siyad isexpected to be brought to court for his first appearance on Monday April 15, 2013.

Widely revered in politically active Kenyan Diaspora in Minnesota circles as an influential power-broker, Siyad is seen as a political wheeler-dealer with grandiose claims to political connections in Kenya.
