Safaricom Named One of the World's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Health Care

Kenya mobile network provider Safaricom has been named one of “The world’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Health Care” by FastCompany. Safaricom, more globally known for its M-Pesa mobile money transfer service, made it to number two in the list for its Daktari 1525 healthcare app. Daktari 1525, a product of Safaricom and Call-a-Doc, allows Kenyans to get medical advice 24 hours a day by dialing 1525 from their mobile phones.

Other companies named in the “The world’s Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Health Care” are Sproxil, D-Rev, Proteus Dgital Health, Dexcom, GE Healthcare, Walgreens, Athena Health, Teledoc and SeeChange Health.
