Kenya Red Cross Society is currently responding to casualties of fresh attacks in Kipao village of Tana Delta, following violence that erupted this morning Friday 21st December; 2013.
So far, the KRCS disaster response team, which has been camping in Tana Delta for over four months since the initial attacks, has confirmed 30 deaths of five children, five women,ten men,and ten attackers over 30 serious injuries and over 45 houses burnt.
The team is currently attending to the casualties on the scene and another team from the KRCS headquarters has been deployed to airlift critical casualties for more specialized attention. Updates will follow.
