A fight in the home of a leading politician in Nakuru County ended tragically when one worker died after been stabbed several times.
The incident in the home of Nakuru County ODM leader Peter Ole Sono left Elementaita residents in shock as they tried to come to terms
with the incident.
Two workers who are employed by the politician engaged each other in a fight after quarreling.
According to a witness, the two had been drinking for the better part of the day but differed over unknown reasons.
“They started fighting using all manner of weapons and efforts bymembers of the public to stop the fight were fruitless,” said the witness.
He said that during the fight, one of the men took a knife and stabbed his colleague on the chest several times and left him lying in a pool of blood.
Unaware that his colleague had died, the suspect proceeded to his house where he was arrested while sleeping.
Confirming the incident, Naivasha OCPD Charles Kortok said that investigations into the incident had started.
He said that it was not clear what caused the quarrel adding that the deceased in his mid 40s died after been hit with a blunt object on the head.
“We have arrested the suspect who is in custody and shall be arraigned in court on Monday,” said the police boss.
Meanwhile one man died and four others were left fighting for their lives after a Nissan they were traveling in as involved in an accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
The man died while undergoing treatment at the Naivasha district hospital after the accident which involved the matatu and a personal car.
The matatu was trying to overtake a lorry near karai area when is rammed into an incoming car seriously injuring the occupants,” said a witness.
