TUJU supports UHURU and RUTO gunning for PRESIDENCY

Party of Action (POA) Presidential candidate Raphael Tuju has broken his long silence by saying that he has no problem with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta joining forces with Eldoret North William Ruto.

Speaking after attending a church service at Kisumu’s Jubilee Christian Church, Tuju who was former President Kibaki’s adviser said the fact that the two are ICC suspects does not bar them from joining forces in next year’s elections.

He said so long as the alliance is not based on tribal inclinations, it is healthy for the country.
Tuju however raised his concern with dimensions Kenya’s politics are currently taking.

“Whereas formation of alliances is based on ideology is good, we must rise to the occasion and say no to tribal alliances,” Tuju said.

He said the direction alliances were taking of one tribe against many others was a cause of concern.

Tuju hinted that he was ready to join any alliance as long as it was not on tribal lines.
