SHOCKING: A woman hanged herself at Obama estate in Awendo over her failure to repay a sh 40, 000 loan from the KWFT.

It was a sad incident yesterday after a woman hanged herself at Obama estate in Awendo over her failure to repay a sh 40, 000 loan from the Kenya Women Finance Trust.

Mary Achieng’s body was discovered hanging in the kitchen by one of her children who alerted the father.

The 39-year-old woman had borrowed the money for the treatment of her husband and according to our sources; Achieng had on the day before she committed suicide learnt that the KWF officials were coming to follow up on her repayment patterns.
The main cause of her death was triggered by her disappointment from her husband, a cancer patient, who was not willing to help her repay the loan as promised.

Her husband however refuted the claims stating that ever since he started feeling well, he has been doing all he can to earn some money which he has been giving her wife.

The body of the deceased was taken to Awendo Mortuary.
