There is yet no information on what may have caused the fire but its intensity is believed to be due to the fact that the building has plenty of combustible material.
A source has informed us that several fire engines are already on the scene. Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore a few minutes ago tweeted that the mobile service provider has evacuated its staff from the building next to raging inferno;
“Unfortunately we've had to evacuate our Call Centre because of a fire in the neighbouring building. Please bear with us.”
