Blood test to CONFIRM …..Wife denies killing husband in Kiambu

At a law court in Limuru a 32 year old woman pleaded not guilty to charges of murdering her husband in November last year. Apparently the woman had an argument with her husband and stabbed him to death.

Neighbors who had heard the couple quarreling over the night showed up at their home in Kiambu County in the morning and found Nahashon Mwongere lying in a pool of blood with a stab wound on the stomach.

Preliminary investigations at the time indicated that Lucy Wamaitha may have killed her husband, her case was put on hold to verify her mental status and after several tests on her it has been confirmed that she is mentally stable and suitable to stand trial.

Investigators reported that they found a cloth with blood which may have come from the assailant.

The prosecutor Alfred Murandi told the court that on Friday a blood test will be conducted on Wamaitha’s blood to identify the assailant.

The case will be mentioned on November 21.
